LaserJet M1212nf MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
The operation system of my laptop is Windows 10 (64-bit) and the my printer is LaserJet M1212nf MFP. However Window can't find my printer when I connect them with cable. And then I downloaded the driver for LaserJet M1212nf MFP from HP official website but still that driver didn't work, my laptop still was not able to scan and find the printer. Please kindly advise what else I can do? Or which driver I should actually download and install on my laptop in order for it to find my printer? Thanks a lot.

I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

 

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features 
2.) Select your HP Printer 
3.) Select Uninstall 
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers 
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’ 
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”) 
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab 
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom 
10.) Select Ok 
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows 
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions

 

Note: Please connect the USB cable only when prompted during installation

Hi I tried all but it still didn't work.

I downloaded the Full Feature Software following the link you provided in your instruction and when I was tried to install it, it was only extracting the file to 100% but after that nothing happened. So I think it was not installed at all. Please advise what else we can do to get the printer set-up. Thanks.

This might require remote access of the computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

The Printer Serial No. is  [edited]. I followed the instruction but I didn't see any web-form that I could fill out.
