Hello;

 

My printer shortly doesn't print any text files anymore, 

 

I have no problems printing pics, pdf ets but when i try 2 print a word or any text file the page comes out 

 

unprinted.

 

I've tried to find any solutions on the web, found many people who have the same problems but didn't find any fixes for it.

 

Can you pls have a look into this problem.

 

I'm sure it isn't a driver or setting problem cause i tried troubleshooting all these possibilities, even a full reinstall.

 

Hope you can fix this issue for me and many others.

Problem solved,

 

For some reason, i suppose after a windows 10 update, the permissions from my folders had changed, 

 

so only thing i had to do was to  change that back to all.

 

Thx for the fast response anyways

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting print quality issues on HP ENVY 4524 Printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue. 

 

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • When did this issue start?
  • Did you do any hardware or software changes?
  • How is the printer connected to computer, wired or wireless?
  • Are you getting any error message?

Meanwhile:

 

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check connectivity

  1. From the computer you are trying to print from, download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor. When this link is clicked, HP Print and Scan Doctor is downloaded using your Internet browser's download capabilities.

  2. After opening Print and Scan Doctor, read and respond to the screens to resolve the problem.

Update the printer firmware

Click here and refer the HP document for more assistance.
