Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I receive the following message:

 

HP - Printers - HP OfficeJet 4650 series - Error 0x80240017

 

Have retried to install the update without success.  What is the problem?

I saw your post about the "0x" error code you're seeing on your Officejet 4650, and wanted to reach out. Please see the link below and try resetting the printer for this issue. Also ensure the printer is plugged in directly to a wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. If the issue continues, contact HP directly at their info below to see about them replacing the unit. 😄

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I am having the same problem on my 5740 HP printer. I try updating a new download and keep receiving error code 0x80240017. I have tried rebooting the printer and it does not help. My computer just did an update for Windows 10 before this happened. Could they be related?
