Hello,  I have a new HP Deskjet 2810 home printer -  but it will not connect to the Wifi - it keeps saying 'incorrect password' - (been trying for hours now and also called the HP Help Centre but I've had no reply).    The Wifi password is definitely correct.   This means I can't print anything.  Do you have any advice in getting sorted, set up and connect?   Thanks!

Hi @Debprint1 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are not able to connect the printer to the new network. Follow the steps mentioned in this document - Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
  • This printer supports WPA encryption. Check if the router supports the same.
  • Also, the printer cannot be connected to a guest/university network. It has to be a personal router.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
