Product: HP Officejet 6970
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I have a Mac Pro laptop computer.  It suddenly doesn't communicate with the computer to print with my HP Officejet 6970 printer.  I've downloaded drivers etc... with no positive results.

How do I get my HP Officejet 6970 printer to print from my Mac Pro laptop/

To be able to assist you better, I would like to know the following:

  • How is the printer connected to the computer?
  • Is there any antivirus/security software installed on the computer?
  • Are you able to make photocopies on the printer?
  • Is there any error message when you try to print from the computer?
