Microsoft Windows 11

Hello. I've just installed NordVpn on my HP notebook My LaserJet MFP181fw goes offline anytime all the time  unless I kill the VPN first. Same issue with my iPhone

How can I sort this out? VPN settings apparently ignore this problem. The only choice I had was to disable the LAN invisibility option.

Any suggestion will be welcome!

cheers

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to the printer while using VPN, I am glad to assist you.

When you use VPN, the IP address changes, that is the reason you are unable to connect the printer while using VPN.

You can resolve this by connecting the printer using USB cable.

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Hi, sorry for the belated reply.

Your suggestion is much appreciated but not workable. I0ve chosen to keep the printer in a separate room where it serves all laptops in the house. So I cannot physically connect it to my computer.

I guess I will keep on killing the VPN briefly while printing,

thanks a lot
