Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-in-One Printer

Hi!

I have attempted to go onto my desktop this evening and print some documents and have had no luck. My printer is showing as "offline" despite being connected to the same wifi as my computer as usual.

 

I have tried resetting printer, restarting and checking ink and paper etc is all good. It is. I can function the printer itself through the printer screen but I really would like it to start working through computer again!

 

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get it working again? Have had both products for nearly two years and have never experienced an issue like this before!

When a printer shows as offline despite being on and connected to Wi-Fi, there are several things you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

 

  • Restart the printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can solve the problem. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check the printer's connection: Ensure that the printer is still connected to the Wi-Fi network. You can try restarting your Wi-Fi router or modem to see if that solves the problem.
  • Update printer drivers: Make sure that the printer drivers are up-to-date. You can go to the manufacturer's website to download and install the latest drivers.
  • Check printer settings: Ensure that the printer is set to "online" mode. Go to the printer settings and select "printer offline" to uncheck the option.
  • Disable antivirus or firewall: Sometimes, antivirus or firewall settings can interfere with the printer's connection. Temporarily disable them and try printing again to see if that solves the problem.
  • Reset printer network settings: If none of the above steps works, try resetting the printer's network settings. You can find instructions for doing this in the printer manual.
