Hi I have a Hp Enxy x 360 and my WiFi icon disappeared after trying many ways suggested on the internet, including network restart and updating the WiFi driver, I ended up following the last suggestion which was to delete and uninstall the WiFi driver and once restarted my laptop was meant to automatically reinstall the driver but this never happed. Now I can’t find the WiFi on my device manager at all. Please advise me on what I should do (I have already tried system restore). I think I’ll have to redownload the WiFi drive but how do I do this without WiFi on my laptop to go on to chrome and download it?

@Jens34, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Thanks for the detailed explanation — you're in a frustrating spot, but you still have options to recover your WiFi. Here's what to do step by step:
Identify the Correct WiFi Driver
You’ll need to figure out what WiFi adapter your HP Envy x360 uses.
Go to HP’s support site on another device:
Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support
Realtek Wireless LAN driver
Intel Wireless LAN driver
Or MediaTek/Ralink/Broadcom, if applicable.
Download the driver installer on the working device.
Transfer the Driver to Your HP Envy
Since your laptop has no WiFi, use one of these methods:
USB flash drive: Easiest method — plug it into the working device, transfer the driver, then plug it into your HP.
Install the Driver
On your HP Envy, plug in the USB drive, locate the downloaded installer, and run it.
Follow the prompts and restart your PC after installation.
Your WiFi icon should reappear in the taskbar if the driver installs successfully.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi I have successfully re-downloaded the driver following your steps thank you. The WiFi was working and then I shut down my laptop and switched it on a couple hours later to use it but now the WiFi button has disappeared again and in the device manager the WiFi driver has a yellow triangle next to it again.
please can you let me know what I can do
