Hi @gary317 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to add a new Wi-Fi network for your HP OfficeJet 3830 printer on macOS Monterey, you can follow these steps:

  • Ensure Printer Setup: Make sure your printer is turned on and ready for setup.
  • Access Printer Settings: On your Mac, go to the Apple menu in the top-left corner and select "System Preferences."
  • Open Printers & Scanners: In System Preferences, click on "Printers & Scanners."
  • Select Your Printer: From the list of printers on the left side, select your HP OfficeJet 3830 printer.
  • Remove Existing Connection (if needed): If your printer is currently connected to a different Wi-Fi network that you want to change, you might need to remove it first. To do this, click the "-" (minus) button below the list of printers.
  • Add Printer: Click the "+" (plus) button below the list of printers to add a new printer.
  • Search for Printer: Your Mac will now search for available printers. If your HP OfficeJet 3830 is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac, it should appear in the list of available printers.
  • Select Printer: Select your HP OfficeJet 3830 from the list.
  • Complete Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process. This may involve selecting the appropriate driver and confirming the connection.
  • Test Printing: Once the setup is complete, try printing a test page to ensure that your printer is properly connected to the new Wi-Fi network.

If your printer doesn't appear in the list of available printers, make sure it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac and that it's turned on.
