HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I would like to determine my printer's email address.  I attempted these steps pasted below that were recommended by the virtual agent, but they don't work.  - Web Services is already turned on.  When I printed the information page, it does not include an email address anywhere, and when I try to locate the email address on the display, the display just says "Connecting..." and it doesn't connect.  Any suggestions?

Printers with a touchscreen or text-based display

Connect your printer to the web, and then get the printer email address.

  1. Turn on the printer, load plain paper in the input tray, and make sure ink or toner cartridges are installed.

  2. Turn on Web Services:

    • Touchscreen displays: On the printer, touch or press the HP ePrint button or icon

Tap Setup, and then follow the on-screen instructions to turn on Web Service

If Web Services are enabled already, tap Print or Print Info.

The printer email address displays on the control panel and an info page also prints with the printer email address.

  3. Find the HP ePrint email address that displays. If the printer email address does not display, wait a few hours, and then try printing the info page again.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's remove and add web services:

Use the following instructions to remove Web Services. 1. From the Home screen, touch Setup , and then touch Web Services. 2. Touch Remove Web Services.

To set up Web Services using the printer control panel 1. From the Home screen, touch (HP ePrint) 2. Touch Set Up. 3. Touch Accept to accept the HP Connected terms of use and enable Web Services. 4. In the Printer Update Options screen, choose the option which allows the printer to automatically install updates.

NOTE: If a printer update is available, the printer will download and install the update, and then restart. You will have to repeat the instructions from step 1 to set up HP ePrint.

NOTE: If prompted for proxy settings and if your network uses proxy settings, follow the on-screen instructions to set up a proxy server. If you do not have the proxy details, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the network. 5. When the printer is connected to the server, the printer prints an information page. Follow the instructions on the information page to finish the setup.

Let me know if this helps.
