Hi

Whenever I attempt to print doube sided the pages are always the wrong orientation.

i.e. When trying to print on the long edge the rear is always flipped.

I have tried changing it to print on the short edge - same result

I have tried un checking the auto rotate - same result

I have uninstalled and re-installed the printer - same result

Run out of ideas

Best regards

Andy

Hi! @andydbain, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand that when you are printing double-sided the pages are printing in a wrong orientation.

Please try the steps mentioned below.

From the file used to print click the File menu and select Print.
NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Press on Show Details to show any available print option.

Click the lowest selection box listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

Select Layout from the drop-down menu.

Set the Two-Sided option as Long-Edge binding and try printing.

If the same persists, can you see the same results for other documents as well? Try printing another document from a different program and let me know if you may see any difference.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.

I hope you have a great day! 🙂

Hi Mr Robot

I have changed settings through the options, long edge, short edge, auto rotate etc with no difference.

I am using a Macbook pro running MacOS Sierra v 10.12.2

I have used preview and adobe Acrobat with the same outcome.

Best regards

@andydbain, thanks for the response.

Thanks for trying out the steps.

Please try the steps recommend below.

Print a document upside down

If you’re trying to print on material that you can’t insert into your printer in the direction you want, you can insert it in the opposite direction and then print your document upside down. For example, you can use this method to print on an envelope that won’t fit into the printer top first, or to print on unusually shaped paper.

Choose File > Print.

If you see a Show Details button, click it to show all available options.

Click the print options pop-up menu (the pop-up menu within the separator bar), then choose Layout.

Select “Reverse page orientation.”

Let me know if this helps!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂
