I have the 4700N 59.52 printer error as displayed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auvjjw1R1Mg. I have already replaced the Magenta cartridge but the error insists. What is wrong and what should I do?
Thanks in advance for a reply.

Hello Magicers, I am an HP Support Engineer. I am speaking for myself and not for HP but I believe that I can assist you.
In an earlier post Rich_y provided some excellent information to help define the 59.52 message. Having already replaced the Magenta cartridge you have eliminated that the issue is related to the cartridge itself. The 59.52 is a print cartridge motor error. To verify the print cartridge motor is functional you can run a simple test from the device control panel:
1. Remove the suspect cartridge (Magenta)
2. Close the device covers
3. From the control panel select Diagnostics > Component Test > Cartridge Motors
The display will indicate that it is rotating the cartridge motor for Magenta.
4. Listen for the rotation noise
If the device was serviced recently for another issue it is possible the print cartridge connector is not seated correctly at the DC Controller PCB (J1018 for Magenta & Black). If the device wasnt serviced recently and the motor isnt functional, the field replaceable unit (FRU) would be the Drum Drive Assembly. If you are not an authorized repair person I would then recommend that you contact one or HP Support to assist with service options.

Hello,
The 59.52 error is a Magenta Drum Motor Startup error. I suggest removing the right cover and then try swapping the magenta and the yellow motor to see if the error follows the motor. If it does, then would replace the drum motor.

Dave

Thanks for your replies, very friendly. First I tried removing and reseat the transfer belt but the problem insists.
Then I checked the cartridge motors and found out there is no (rotation) noise when I remove the magenta cartridge, but there is a noise when I remove any other cartridge.
I am not an authorized repair person. I'm afraid replacing the printer with a second hand 4700 is cheaper for me than to hire a professional to fix this problem.

Is this printer refurbished?

Below is a link to the Service Manual which shows how to remove the right side cover. Once you remove the cover checking the motors is very easy.
