LaserJet 4555 MFP
Other

It's almost like the LaserJet 4555 MFP doesn't exist anymore. I've searched google up and down trying to find what the error code 51.00.10 is specifically for this printer.

All the other printers that have error code 51.00.10 were for the laser assembly so I'm assuming it's the same for this one.

However, I can't find replacement parts when the laser assembly does finally go. There's almost nothing for this printer. Does anyone know where to find a list of parts needed to replace the complete laser assembly?

Right now this error only comes up once in a while so it's just some preventive maint. going on. But to be without this printer would really slow the workplace down for a while.

I wish you could contact HP directly but there's no option to ask them questions if you're out of warranty.

Thanks!

If you go to the partsurfer website you can look to see what parts HP has available for the machine.

You might try printing the event log because that will give more of a description of an error that you see on the panel.

This error is like the old beam detect error and not the laser/scanner motor error.  These sometimes can be caused by the toner cartridge.  That said this printer uses the same parts as the LJ4015 and below is a link to where you can obtain the assembly if in fact you need one.  Replacing the assembly on this unit is not that easy since you have to remove the switchback assembly to reach it.  You will need to do a search for the service manual on line and download it.  Good Luck.
