HP 4630 All In One
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I recently installed a new 61XL Black ink cartridge and immediately noticed the print quality has changed.

Random letters all over the document are smeared, sometimes whole words, other times just a few letters in the words.  I have cleaned the print head, cleaned the ink cartridge and ran the print quality diagnostic report and still have smudge and smearing problems. 

 

It just started after installing the new black ink cartridge.  I  also pulled the cartridge out and re-installed with no improvements. Could there be a problem with the ink cartridge?  Any help with this problem will be appreciated.  Thank you.

Are you using an HP cartridge or a third party refill or reman? The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve splotchy printing on your Officejet 4630 printer.
