This document is for only the following HP printers in North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific:
 
  • HP Officejet 6812
  • HP Officejet 6815
  • HP Officejet 6820
  • HP Officejet Pro 6230
  • HP Officejet Pro 6830
  • HP Officejet Pro 6835
If you are located in Europe, Middle East, or Africa, please see 'Problem with printhead' Error (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).
There is a problem with the printhead error message displays on the printer control panel or computer. The error might include an error code that begins with 0xc19.

This error indicates a hardware failure, and the printer requires service or replacement.
Your printer model might be replaced under the following conditions:
  • Your printer is one of the models listed above.
  • The printer exhibits the error message: There is a problem with the printhead.
If your printer is replaced:
  • You receive a replacement printer that is the same or equivalent to the defective printer.
  • Delivery is usually within 3-5 business days of order placement/processing.
  • When completing your order, you receive immediate confirmation and a follow-up email that contains the order number and case identification number.
  • You can check repair status online using your order number or product serial number.
If you are located in the United States or Canada, your printer meets these conditions, and you would like to see if your printer can be serviced or replaced by HP, visit the Product Replacement for Printhead website.
If you are located in Latin America or Asia Pacific, your printer meets these conditions, and you would like to see if your printer can be serviced or replaced by HP, click the Contact Support tab at the top of this page.
