Pro 6830

I purchased my hp pro 6830 printer in, i believe, 02/2015. I realize it is out of warranty.

I have paid for the ink replacement program throughout. The use of the printer has been VERY mininimal. I believe during this entire time i have received only one replacement of ink - to express it's minute use.

There are no others in the household - no children - noone else using the device.

Today I entered my office to produce materials and found that an error message was on the printer saying the printhead had a problem.

I disconnected the unit for over five minutes and received the same message. No error codes.

I phoned HP only to find that the printer I have barely used is not only broken for no reason but is irrepairable.

I have stopped the ink program but am typing this to express my extreme dismay with this HP product.

I now need documents printed this evening and have no options available.

I thought HP products were good sound pieces of equipment. I have discouvered otherwise.

There is an extended service available for the Officejet 6830, but it unfortunately only extends to two years from the date of purchase.  You might go to the site here and check, but I have heard that HP is enforcing the two year limit for extended warranty for this issue.
