HP Scan -  Photosmart 7510 Series (BED345) will not print page numbers shown in MS Word documents or Adobe (PDF) documents.  In the "Show Quik Preview" panel the page numbers appear where they should be.

@McDic,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to print page numbers while printing word or pdf documents from your HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One Printer series - C311.

This issue could occur if the page numbering option is not selected in page setup.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

When ready to print, click on "file" in upper left corner.  Click "page setup."  select "page numbering."  Print your document.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Printing Documents (Mac)

Also, let us know if you were able to print fine before.

Let me know how this works.

Rainbow23,
Thanks for your input.  I have found I can print page numbers from MS Word but I cannot print Duplex or Double Sided from the MS Word application.  When I print from MS Word the Print Menu does not present the Show Details option and the Two Sided option is not present next to the Number of Copies box.

On the other hand I can print a PDF document using the MAC application "Preview" in  Duplex mode or double sided but the page numbers do not appear.
To get double sided  document with page numbers the cumbersome work around is to use MS Word and print odd number pages then reinsert the printed pages and print even pages.

Again thanks for your help.

@McDic,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to print 2 sided from your HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer.

This issue could occur if the print settings are not correct.

And here's the step by step guide listed below:

  1. Open the document that you want to print, click File, then click Print.
  2. If no settings display, click Show Details.
  3. Select the name of your printer in the Printer menu.
  4. Select Paper Handling from the unnamed menu at the center of the window.
  5. From the Pages to Print menu, select Odd Only.
  6. Depending on your printer type, select one of the following settings from the Page Order menu:
  • Rear loading paper tray: Select Automatic
  • Front loading paper tray: Select Reverse
  1. Click Print.
  2. When all the pages are printed, remove any remaining unprinted paper from the input tray, then continue to the next step.

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.
