OfficeJet Pro 8600 has been a great printer/copier/scanner/fax for 5+ years, no problems at all. Today, while copying a 1-page 8.5x11 document from the flatbed scanner, a ghost image printed on one edge of the output. The image was from a 1-page document we made multiple copies from about a month ago.
Ghost image does not appear when using the Document Feeder, nor when printing from a computer.
Appears when copying in black-n-white, or copying in color - but only from the flatbed.
Glass screen is clean. the white "background" is clean.
I'm guessing it's not the print driver, since it's only during copying.
Ideas?

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
The image may have been imprinted on the glass itself.
Have you tried cleanning the glass?
Try rhis:
Step 1: Unplug the power cord from the scanner.
Step 2: Using a soft, lint-free cloth, like a microfiber cloth, wipe off the dust from the scanner glass.
Step 3: If the glasshas smudges or other contaminants, use a little bit of glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth and wipe the glass.
Hope that helps!
