hp Office Jet Pro 8610
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The very first time this printer ran out of cyan ink, the printhead failed after replacing the Genuine HP ink cartridge.  The printer is almost exactly one year old.

I will never, never, never buy another HP product.

In addition I promise to visit every site and forum that sells the 8610 and reveal the truth  about this shoddy product.

It is simply criminal for HP to sell products like this that are obviously defective out of the box.  For HP to sell this POS as a purportedly functional product is heinous.

This kind of duping of consumers is just clearly a commission of fraud.

The printer was not defective out of the box if you used the printer for a year before the ink cartrdige ran out.  Rather than rant I would suggest you go through the troubleshooting steps in the document here to address the missing printhead error message on your Officejet Pro 8610 printer.

That's super helpful. I see simply by being in this forum that this is a systemic problem with the 8610, let alone the countless other forums online. Rather than being an obvious HP lemming, perhaps we shoudl rant in order to expect decent hardware from a legitimate company. I'm not replacing a printer every 16 months due to a design error, or worse, a ploy to force consumers to buy an new printer to keep up lagging sales.
