We are printing our invoice in A5 size and each invoice has two copies.
Printing is very slow in 1st Page and 2nd page takes another 10 second to pick the paper.
We have tested on different model HP402dn Model and it is printing in acceptable time.
Kindly let us know any specific difference in these models and any specific settigns to be applied or the paper placement in the tray.

Hi JaweedAiyaz,
The M402 has enabled faster A5 printing in both Short Edge and Long Edge Feed.
The M402 should default to Long Edge Feed which can print faster than Letter/A4. (The long edge of the paper is fed into the printer first). The setting between Long Edge Feed and Short Edge Feed can be found in the Embedded Web Server.
The M402 when printing Short Edge Feed will slow down to 14ppm (~4seconds per page).
Regarding the P2055dn...it only supports printing A5 in short edge feed orientation. As the printer is used, it will slow down. There are no configuration changes that can affect this behavior.
Printing A5 media short edge first focuses the thermal transfer from fuser to toner/paper into the middle of the fuser. The edges of the fuser can continue to heat with no thermal transfer so they get hotter than the center. When this condition is detected, the printer slows down to allow more time for the heat on the edges of the fuser to transfer to the middle of fuser.
The only way to increase the speed after the printer has slowed down is to print Letter/A4 which will draw heat from the edge of the fuser OR stop printing for awhile on that device so that the fuser has a chance to cool down.
While not a great solution for you..... If you could print your two A5 invoices on one A4 and then split the page into two A5s...you would not have the slowdown and overall you would be faster in printing the invoices. The difficulty is in splitting the A4 page and possibly creating it.
I think the better solution is to replace the 2055 with another M402 so that you have fast A5 support through landscape feed.

Kaz
