Hello

Two year ago I purchased a HP LaserJet Professional P1102w and it was working fine but somehow the networking settings got messed up so I decided to access the web settings page and sort them out.

Now, here's where I ran into a problem. When I clicked on the networking tab, it asked me for a username and password. I'm certain that I did set one but I've forgotten it and I can't seem to get in.

Is there a way I can get around this? I can't print anymore with the wifi

Hi Lil_Lisa27

I have tried the solution suggested by you several times but it does not work.

The same printer works ok with Windows 7 but I am unable to install it under Windows 8.1. I have already sent you the error details. The basic problem is with installation of Fax and HP Toolbox.

I will appreciate if you can suggest something to resolve the problem.

Regards

Latif

Hi Dan_Dav_64,

The first step in trying to get past the admin password on the web setting page, is to restore the network defaults. I have included the document 'Restoring the Factory Default Settings'. Then you will need to reconfigure the wireless settings. I have included the document 'Installing the Printer on a Wireless Network'. Please select your operating system, and then follow the steps for setting the printer up wireless.

Please let me know if you are able to access the web settings page without a password, thank you.

Hello mlatif2000,

For the issue with the HP Fax and HP Toolbox. I would suggest uninstalling the software, and reinstalling the software. I have included the document 'Uninstalling the Printer Software'. Once the uninstall is complete, please restart your computer then empty the trash.

Once the above steps have been completed, you will need to reinstall the software. I have included a link to the 'HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver'. Please follow the on screen instructions for installation.

Please let me know if the HP Fax and HP Toolbox works, thank you.
