Hello Will
Here is the info you requested
Product cold reset for P3015
A cold reset unlocks menus that have been previously locked and sets all control panel menu items
(including EIO settings) back to the factory defaults. However, it does not clear the values in the Service
mode functions on page 259 menu (such as the serial number and page counts).
NOTE: Before performing a cold reset, print a menu map and a configuration page. Use the information
on the configuration page to reset any customer-set product configuration values that the cold reset
procedure changes.
1. Turn the product off.
2. Turn the product on. When the memory count begins, press and hold the OK button. Continue
holding down the OK button until all three product control-panel lights flash once and then remain
on. This might take up to 10 seconds.
3. After the message SELECT LANGUAGE appears on the display, press the button or the
button until COLD RESET is highlighted.
4. Press the OK button. The product performs a cold reset and then continues its power-on sequence.
5. Check all I/O settings and reset any customer-set product configuration values.
Use the following procedure to perform an NVRAM initialization for the P2055 (It could happen that the printer loses the indentity, Ex. Serial number and product number).
1. Turn the product off.
2. Simultaneously press and hold the up arrow and Cancel button .
3. Turn on the product.
4. When the message Permanent storage init displays, release the buttons. When the NVRAM
initialization is completed, the product goes to a Ready state.
- Press the Power button (
) to turn on the product.
- With the product turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 15 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
- If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button (
) to turn it on.

Hello, were these machines set with admin usernames or passwords? If you are unsure, I would try:
Username: admin
Password: admin
I have seen before HPs out of the box having usernames and passwords set, which end up being just the aboved mentioned credentials.
Hope this helps....
