I have the iPhone 4 with ios 5.0 and it cannot find my HP Photosmart D110a all-in-one eprinter and AirPrint compatible printer. I have everything set up correctly. I have the current firmware on the printer. I print print from everything else wirelessly, I can print to my printer by using the printer e-mail address that I set up. It is just killing me because I can't get it setup to do Airprint. I have gone through everything from HP and Apple. Everything I find is for ios 4 and lower. Can someone help me?

It is compatible:

I can finally AirPrint. When you sent the message about the router, it made me think about updating the firmware. I updated to the lastest firmware on the router, reset the printer and my iPhone, and it finally showed up.

Dear sable97403,

Here are a few things to check. Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same network as the printer. Check for product updates on the front panel of the printer. (Setup<Preferences<Product Updates) CHeck to make sure your router supports Bonjour or Multicasting. You can also try resetting the printer and the iOS device. I hope this helps.

Hello sable97403,

Sorry to hear you are having problems.

I would like to know what type of router are you using?

Also did you just upgrade to ios 5.0 and if so,did Airprint work before upgrading?

The reason I ask is because the router must support bonjour (multicasting), which is the apple service that is used to locate your printer.

Some routers do not support this service.

For more information on Airprint click here.

If you can please reply with the name and model number of your router and I will try to help.

Both the iPhone and the printer are connnected to the same router. I purchased the wireless printer after I had performed the update on my iPhone. I have an Asus RT-N10+ Wireless-N Router running 2.0.1.6firmware.  I have performed a reset (restart) of all three devices. Not too sure if the router supports Bonjour.

Make sure that you have web services enable on your printer. With your particular printer "web services" has to be enabled. (Setup<Wireless<Web Services Settings) After you go there you will be prompted to enable "web services." In the meantime I will do some research on your router to find out if it supports Bonjour or Multicasting.

I bought a HP D110a printer about 6-8 months ago.  I set it up for Apple's AirPrint and it worked great.  After I updated my printer to the latest firmware it stopped working.  When I would try to print from any of my iOS devices it would say printer not found.  I'm usually pretty good at troubleshooting issues by searching online but for some reason I just couldn't find the appropriate information to fix this issue.  I finally gave up and just dealt with the fact that it wasn't going to work anymore.  Today (4 months later) I got motivated to try and fix the problem and sure enough stumbled upon some very important information (not on the HP website) required to make Apple's AirPrint work after the firmware update.  You MUST enable Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) and Bonjour in the Photosmart Embedded Web Server for the service to work.  In order to do this open your browser and enter in the IP Address of your printer (you can get the IP address by printing out a network config page).  Once it opens go to the Network tab and under advanced settings you will see both IPP and Bonjour.  Select the Enable radio button for each option and after selecting each button select apply at the bottom.  After this you should be able to print from any of your Apple iOS devices running the appropriate version.  Hope this helps!

I have an issue with my iPhones as well. Both are Iphone 4s using iOS 6.1.3 and both are connected to my network and I can access the internet with no problems. I can eprint fine and I can print wirelessly from 3 laptops and one desktop with no issues at all. When I try to AirPrint from either iPhone, I get the message saying "No AirPrint printers found". I have a D-Link DIR-657 router with multicasting enabled. The printer is an HP D110a with Bonjour and IPP enabled. Everything I have read says I should be able to print, but neither phone will. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi pnl321,

I would try the steps below.

1.  Unplug printer and router for  one minute.

2.  Power down your iPhone.

3.  Plug router back up.

4.  Wait another minute plug printer back up.

5.  Turn iPhone back on.

6.  Attempt to print again.

Let me know how it goes.
