HP psc1315
Microsoft Windows XP

I have been using my HP PSC1315 for 12 years. The day before yesterday when I tried to make a copy all lights flash, every single one and it gives an E error on the machine. When I press power the lights go off. I have tried to scan, same problem. I can however print, no problem.

How do I fix this? I make loads of copies and scans and can't be without these funtions. Please assist.

@Maryna1,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to scan or copy from your HP PSC 1315 All-in-One Printer as the lights keep blinking with the letter E.

This issue could occur if the printer is in error state.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Blinking Lights

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

I have check all the troubleshoots and followed the steps to reset. Problem is not resolved. Test page prints fine. I can print fron computer with no problem. As soon as I push any of tge copy or scan buttons, all lights keep blinking.

What can be wrong?

@Maryna1,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue has not resolved after following the steps mentioned in the previous interaction.

This could be a hardware issue with the scanner.

Hence, please contact HP Phone Support for further assistance at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp
