I don't know what happened with my printer. I have an HP F2210. All of the lights are lit and the printer won't respond to ANYTHING. I've been pressing the buttons, trying different patterns, unplugged both the power and usb cable, restarted my computer atleast 5 times already, and I have even uninstalled the printer and software and all lights still remain lit and ofcourse after trying to reinstall the software it is saying the printer is not connected, so I really can't install the printer.

This is driving me crazy that nothing I do will work. It won't respond at all.

I've been searching the net since last night and cannot find a solution.

Again, all lights are lit, the print count has an "8" on it and it won't respond to ANYTHING.  Also before this the printer read offline and I couldn't get it to go online and there was a power outage, but this has never happened with previous power outages. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi, here is a HP link that explains the blinking lights.

Most likely the F2210 power adapter and/or the printer were damaged after the power came back.

Thanks for your reply, but I got it working now. The power outage didn't zap it..

For those of you that have had this issue. This is what worked.

I first uninstalled the software using the CD that came with the initial installation. After uninstalling, I unplugged the power cord from the outlet only and left it still plugged into the back of the printer. I restarted my computer and didn't bother with the printer for a few hours. When I plugged the printer back into the outlet, all of the lights went back to normal and it powered up normally. I then reinstalled the software using the cd and so far it works and it good to go and I hope it remains that way. I hope this helps someone that has the same problem because I was gonna to buy another printer and was quite frustrated as I just bought new cartridges a few weeks back and barely used them.

I think the problem is all of this updating they are doing with the software/drivers what have you, because I NEVER had any issues like this no matter how many outages or anything prior to the last few months. I've had to constantly restart and stop the spooler on regular one page print jobs, printing gets stalled and only rebooting the pc got th printer working.

If anyone know a way to stop/prevent all the updates with the current software, please shoot me a pm. thanks.

Oh My God!  Finally - a solution to my exact problem!  Was ready to trash my HP All in One F4280 printer.  All lights are on and "8" shows in the display.  Sometimes, Resume light flashes but none of the solutions work that I read.  I inserted the HP Deskjet F4200 Series disk however my Mac says it can't read it???  Now what??  Any ideas how to uninstall and reinstall (as per your instructions) off the internet?  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

Hi HrsLvr10, use this link to download the Mac drivers.

I downloaded the driver using the link you provided.  How do I complete the instructions above regarding uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver?

Thank you very much with your patience and instructions for me.  I uninstalled the software and reinstalled the printer software.  All looked good until I attempted to print 😞  The printer is still acting up.  It feeds a blank page about half way then stops.  The "resume" light starts to blink and when I push the 'resume' button, it feeds the paper completely out and the ink cartridges slide back and forth then spit out a complete unprinted page, all the while the 'resume' continues blinking. I push the power button, the 'resume' light stops blinking however the printer keeps feeding black sheets.

Doubt this has anything to do with what's going on but this all started when I loaded a new black ink cartridge....thoughts?
