My Deskjet 3752 all in one printer is printing as normal. However I tried to use the scan facility today and it is not working correctly. The last time I used this function ( a couple of months ago) it worked fine.
The scanner takes the paper in but when I see the scan on the screen, it is just a black page. I tried turning the paper over just in case I was going it the wrong way round and received the same black scan. I tried to calibrate the scanner but it wouldn't work and i got an error message.
Any ideas??

@Chris_Scot20, Welcome to HP Support Community!
What is the error message? Scanner failure? If yes, follow the steps below-
If copies/scans are a black page, check the printer power source printer and troubleshoot mechanical issues with the scanner mechanism.
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer, disconnect the power cord from the power source, and then wait 30 seconds.
-
If you are using a power strip or multi-plug adapter, connect the cord directly to a wall outlet to make sure the printer is getting enough power.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the printer, and then try making a copy.
-
If the issue persists, connect the printer to a different wall outlet to determine if the original outlet is causing the issue.
-
If the issue persists using a different wall outlet, partially lift the scanner lid, and then press the Copy button or icon. If the scanner light does not illuminate or move across the glass, it is a hardware failure.
-
Additionally, refer to the document Resolving Copy Problems for detailed troubleshooting if required.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
Hope this helps!
