HP 2575

Anyone found a recent (2022) way of downloading a Win10 driver for a HP2575 Photosmart All-in-one? I like the thing and don't see why I should trash it. Old sites as answers to similar posts no longer work.

Hello @JRP16 .
You can download and install any of the following drivers:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL40842/ds-99353-24/upd-pcl6-x32-7.0.1.24923.exe

Many thanks GOLD_MASTER . Unfortunately these seem to be 32bit drivers. I need 64b bit drivers. Do you have a download for these (Win10 64bit driver for HP 2575)

Best wishes

Thanks for the download link. It all looked very promising and I downloaded the file and ran it.

Strangely it only got to the welcome screen where it invited me to select install but the only clickable icon was to exit!! I must be missing something so I clipped the screen message and attach it. Have HP managed to sabotage the download?

Thanks for this, I installed the downloads, They gave me installs of HP Universal Printers PCL6 and PS. Unfortunately neither of these drivers would work with my HP2575. In both cases when I manually gave the driver the network address of my printer, it announced that the printer was not a valid HP printer! - News for me as I have used it since I bought it from HP many years ago with the HP software until I had to reinstall Win10!

Further suggestions very welcome!

Hi @JRP16 ,

If you only have the welcome screen with an Exit button, that means there are software previously installed.

And also because the software drivers for this printer are a little bit older,

remember this is a printer manufactured around 2005.

>> First uninstall HP drivers.

1.  Open in Control Panel > Programs >  Uninstall > select HP drivers.

2. Then restart PC.

>> Then reinstall with Compatibility options

3. right-click the Photosmart 2575 driver and click on Properties > Compatibility tab

4.  Select the dropdown for Run this program in compatible mode for :  select Windows 7

Then try again the software installation with the driver provided.

* Click on YES button   to say thanks,

* Click on the button Accepted Solution if the question is answered.

Many thanks for this reply. I followed the instructions and started the downloaded prog in Win7 compatibility mode and it gave me a screen with an install button!!

Unfortunately it will be a few weeks before I can try this on the printer as I am now away from its location. However it looks very promising and I do thank you for your detail instructions.

I'll post an Accept Solution response, once I've tried the fix in full but in the mean time I am very please that I may not have to pension off my trusty HP2575 printer!!
