I am attempting to print Avery-brand 1/5th cut tab inserts (the model number is 11136) on our office printer, and I cannot get the text to line up correctly. Every alignment sheet I've printed puts the text in a completely different position - one sheet put the text about half an inch lower and to the right of the box it was supposed to go in, while on another the text was rotated ninety degrees so the bottom row printed along the right side of the paper. I suspect part of the problem is that I can't select a custom paper size for the printer, as when I first try to print, Microsoft Word throws me an error that says, "The paper size of section 1 is different from the printer page size. (...)", and changing the paper to other sizes, such as 8.5 by 5, gave the results above. Short of inching the margins over to the correct spot with trial and error, is there a way to make this print correctly?

Hi,
From my testing many years back, I need non slippery label papers (it should show on the box: compatible with Laser printers). And you also need to use a proper template. I don't know which software you are using but under MS Word, I can find over 90 templates from Avery.
Regards.

I have checked the box. They are compatible with Laser printers, and I am using the correct template. The problem is that they keep getting transposed until the text is not on the correct label or off of the page entirely. The printer fence on this model is odd - when you adjust it, both sides move until the paper is in the middle. I'm not sure if that's important or not.
