This has probably happened to others here so throwing it out. I have a printer we use for home ( my wife is a teacher so it gets used a lot) we can be a bit of an ink hog with printing. I typically pick up my cartridges from local Sam's Club and always get the XL size colored and black ink cartridges.
We had started to get about half way through the cartridges, so i picked up the color 902XL's and a twin pack of what should have been 902XL black, just to have because it always runs out at the worst times. It sat in the drawer a couple of months until I needed it. I just opened it and realized it I got the wrong black cartridges, I bought 920XL instead of 902XL. It took me a minute to realize this because they look identicle and fit in the machine fine. I kept getting an error message telling me to remove and reinstall them. after about the 5th time I saw they were different numbers.
I tried to take it back to Sam's but they have a policy where they won't accept things that have been opened. I understand the policy because they have to protect themselves from people trying to return empty cartridges.
I am not asking for cash, I just want the right cartridges. An exchange. I know this is my fault for not paying attention and maybe I am just stuck, the color ones are correct and the Black ones are the wrong ones, I am out about 75.00.
I am sure many folks have grabbed the wrong cartridge since there are so many of them with different numbers. I have never grabbed the wrong cartridge before but there is always a first time.
So does any one want to buy a 920 XL black? I am assuming the one i just opened will just dry up although I did put the orange cap back on, but the other one is still wrapped up.
