Black Ink Not Printing - Cartridge is full

Hi. My printer says it has a substantial amount of black ink but is not printing anything I ask it to. I tried doing a test print and it printed just fine,  but still won't print anything else. I've cleaned the spot where the black ink comes out, to not avail. I've had the printer scan for issues but it doesn't say anything is amiss.
