Laserjet Pro MFP M130nw

I have a brand new Laserjet Pro MFP M130nw and have come to print for the first time. I get a column of black dots down the right handside of my document. How do I get rid of these dots? I have run the cleaning page routine from the service menu.

this will either be a bad toner cartridge (which i'd bet my money on), which is leaking onto the paper OR a defective fuser assembly.  best way to check is to do whats called a half cycle test.  print a single document from the MP tray, stop the print manually by opening the toner access door BEFORE the paper hits the fuser (this takes a few tries if you've never done it before).  when you remove the toner and look at the paper, are the dots there?  if so, the toner is the problem.  if there are no dots BEFORE the paper hits the fuser, the fuser itself is the cause.  probably has a knick in the fuser film or contamination.  hope this helps.

Thanks I'll give it a go. The toner cartridge is the small one which comes with the machine

Likely you have a defective tone cartridge, contact support about a replacement.
