Black horizontal lines with CP1525NW

Our printer is printing thick black horizontal lines across the page.

It used to just do it on the first few sheets of a print job and then suddenly clear up (it didn't gradually get fainter).

It now seems to be doing it on all sheets and is doing more and more lines.

We put in a new black toner cartridge, but that hasn't resolved the issue.

It's also doing it when i do a demo print or cleaning page direct from the printer menu, not just when i print from a PC

I've tried checking inside the printer and looking at the cartridges but I can't see anything obvious.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.
