Black ink not printing on HP OfficeJet Pro 8028. I just installed a new cartridge. Color printing is fine. Black will not print.

Hi@janrodz,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP OfficeJet Printer not printing Black Ink.

I have a few recommendations

  • HP recommends that you use genuine HP ink or toner supplies. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP or refilled cartridges.
  • Check if the vents of the cartridges are clogged. You can fix this by gently using a pin to clean up the clog on the vent. Try using a different ink cartridge to determine if your printer is able to recognize cartridges.
  • This link should help if color or black ink not printing and other print quality problems. https://support.hp.com/th-en/document/ish_8586650-8598286-16

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
