The printer I have was in use for 10 years and all was fine till last week.

The problem is with the black print - the only colour where the print is disturbed (even in grey mode). I did some tests and that is confirming it is the only issue. There are some white bars in horizontal lines appear.

I did clean the printheads and aligned them the cartridges - no improvement.

Please could you advice?

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Photosmart C6280 All-in-One Printer. I read that the printer is facing print quality issues while printing the black color. You have cleaned the printhead and have also aligned the printer and the issue persists. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job. You've done a remarkable job performing the steps.

Are you using an original HP cartridge or a refilled cartridge?

I recommend you to replace the black ink cartridge and check the print quality. Because the evidence indicates towards a defective black cartridge. However, if the printer continues to have print quality issues after replacing the cartridge then it must be a print hardware issue and you may reach out to our HP phone support to explore the hardware service options available for this HP printer model.

I hope this information helps. Let me know the outcome. Cheers! 🙂
