HP Deskjet 2541
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My mother bought me this printer (online I assume) for college and I opened the box and there is no power cord.  Please help...

The power cord would have been included if this was purchased from a reputable dealer, I would suggest contacting the seller.  I would also be concerned about the cartridges and working condition of the printer.

A quicker method may be to buy the power cord and adapter from eBay or similar.

This doesnt really help me.  I dont know where she bought it from and I cant exactly afford one on Ebay hence the reason she bought it for me.  Is that how you recommend solving missing items from HP products? Ebay?  I assumed HP would reputible enough to help me with this situation since it is your product, but I guess not.  I wont be purchasing Hewlett-Packard products anymore and will make sure she doesnt either.

I would suggest you call your mother and ask were she bought the printer and then follow up with the seller.  It was not sent from HP with a missing power supply, I suspect it was not a new product.

You can  check the warranty with HP's warranty tool here.  If the printer is still in warranty I suggest you contact HP for support.

BTW, it is not "my" product.

Well if you are a volunteer, maybe you can give me a 1800 number I can call that actually doesn't direct me to this forum or www.hp.com/support... it is under warranty and brand new out of the sealed box. Does HP deal with its customers anymore or do they just have volunteers talk to them on the net?

From a post by Sunshyn2005, to contact HP Support see the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Case number and phone number appear.
