Hi DougP

Yu will first have to remove the top piece of the paper try. The roller in towards the front and on the right side of the printer (before you turn it over).  See the picture. You can put the epoxy on the steel axle next to the black plastic gear. Make sure you don;t put any epoxy on the gear teeth as it will affect the roller.  The red arrow indicates the location of the gear and also where to put the epoxy. You want to bind the gear to the steel axle so when the axle turns, the gear also turns, rather than spin.

The fix has been working well since 2015.

Good luck

I will try this just as soon as I can get some epoxy. You are the first person to offer a fix. I've been handfeeding paper (not that easy) just trying to use up the ink cartridges I had just installed when it broke. You caught me just in time before I threw it away. Thanks so much!

Thanks TK.  However, the picture didn't show.  All I see is a yellow triangle with a black border around it.  Could you try posting again?  Maybe the feed didn't like the picture format?

Thanks,

DougP

Hi DougP

Reposting the picture. I can see it in the forum feed.  WIth the printer upright, you see the paper tray and the top cover of the paper tray. Remove the top cover to the paper tray. Just above the right side of the paper tray, you will see the gear mechanism. A stainless steel axle is what the main drive mechanism turns. The steel axle is connected to a small black gear which is in turn in contact to a larger gear that turns the rollers to lift the paper. You just have to put a dab of epoxy on the side of the small black gear that is in contact with the steel axle. Leave it overnight to completely dry and harden. It should work after that.
