I connect my HP Photosmart C4280 All-in-One printer to my new laptop with Windows 8. Paper loaded & I tried to print. However, it showed error message "A4 not loaded in any tray" and not printed.
Additional information, I cannot get ink catridge 75 in the market. So the printer currently running with catridge 74 only.
Please advise how to solve the problem.

I had uninstall software & re-install the software. However, it doesn't work. But I found out that running in 1 cartridge should be any problem, because it show it showed as "Single Cartridge Mode"
After that, I studied the error message again & found out the "A4 not loaded..." look like related to scanning. Then, I tried to scan a document. After that, I tried to print a document & it works.

Welcome to the forums AQue,
I saw your post and I will do my best to assist you with the printer issue with your PS C4280.
First of all, try copying from the printer itself (without using the computer). I am curious to see if you will see an error message when you try to copy or if it will work fine for you.
If there is an error, try Resetting the Printer and Plug the printer in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Let me know the results from making the copies!

I tried your suggestion. It's not work.
I believe it may related to another problem, which the printer is running without cartridge 75. There is a error message showed "Print Cartridge(s) missing or not detected."
I cannot get cartridge 75 in the market anymore. Can I run the printer with cartridge 74 only?

Hello AQue,
If you are seeing a message stating the cartridge is missing or not detected, the printer is looking for the cartridge to be installed. You will need to replace the ink cartridge at that point.

I cannot get any cartridge 75 (Colour Ink) from the market now. And I just want to print in black ink (cartridge 74).
Can anybody tell the method to by past the error message for colour ink cartridge missing?
