The first few lines on a printed page are perfect but after that the lines become faded, getting worse and worse to where the very bottom lines do not show up at all.  Have tried 3 different cartridges.  Completed the alignment of the printhead several times,  also did the clean printhead several times, nothing seems to clear this issue up

Hi! @Unicorn001, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand when you print from your printer few lines prints fine and rest of the page are faded.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Can try copying from your printer and check if the issue persists?

Please try the steps recommended below.

Check the print settings for your print job in Windows.
In the program, you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print.
The Print window opens.
Open the Properties dialog box.
Depending on the software program, the button might be Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
Depending on your print job, you might consider modifying the following settings:
Paper Type: If you are printing on photo paper, select the type of photo paper you are attempting to print on.
Print Quality: If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your printouts, increase the print quality. To print more quickly, decrease the print quality. These options typically include Best, Normal, and Draft modes.
Paper Size: If you are printing on a different size of paper than you normally print on, select the correct paper size.
Black and White: If you want to print in black and white only, select the grayscale option.
After selecting the print settings, click OK to apply the settings, and then click Print.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot print quality issues.

Let me know if this works!

Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂

Now nothing prints at all, did the print test page, nothing, used tools on the printer for printhead clean and nothing, tried copying something and it came out faded on one end, for 1/4 of the page then nothing, now even the colors don't print?

@Unicorn001, It was a quick response from you. I was indeed waiting for your response.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

As you mentioned even while copying it's faded on one end.

The printhead could be clogged, and you might need to clean the printhead several times to restore print quality. Use the automated tool from the printer control panel to clean the printhead.
   CAUTION:
Never turn off the printer when ink cartridges are missing. Make sure you replace any missing ink cartridges as soon as possible to avoid print quality issues and possible extra ink usage or damage to the ink system. To avoid issues that require cleaning the printhead, always turn the printer off with the Power button on the printer itself.
On the printer control panel, press Setup.
Press the down arrow button to select Tools, and then press OK.
Press the down arrow button to select Clean Printhead, and then press OK.
If the print quality is acceptable, you can stop troubleshooting.
If the print quality is unacceptable, perform another printhead cleaning.
   NOTE:
If the printhead is badly clogged, wait 30 minutes, and then clean the printhead again.
Try to print again.

If the print quality is unacceptable try replacing the ink cartridges and check if it helps.

Even after replacing the cartridge if the issue still persists, You have to replace the print head on your printer.
