I am trying to get my printer to work. The ink is full and there are no error messages when I choose the print function. On printing the paper moves through the machine without problem but the "print" outcome is top half or bottom half of the text is printed, not the full text.....can anyone offer any solution?...Is there a ribbon or something that needs replacing?

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve poor print quality on your Photosmart c7280 printer.

It may help the diagnosis to scan and post the results of the test page printed in step five.

Selecting "Best" mode for print quality may be a temporary workaround.
