When I try to calibrate colors for fine art material medium (canvas paper) I receive an error message telling me that the calibration cannot be done because of scanning problems. I use an hp designjet z2100 photo. Thank you

for any tips or advices.

do not use your expensive art material. use  cheapy  glossy photo or other good papers. myself use  cheapy pp paper

or glossy photo paper.

try :
leave printer on & let it perform self maintenance for a while.

next morning, do clean all printheads & do color calibration. if fail, print a diagnostic & see what colors missing.

Replace those missing color printhead or printheads. also check inks & make sure they have certain level.

At this moment, I am fixing a Z3100 44"  & same problem. I saw at least   mk/r    lc/lm  were  missing colors ...

Still when I try to calibrate the printer I am taking the error: Calibration is canceled due to the scanning problem

Any solution?

Thank you

click the menu   >> image quality >> print diagnostic print...   then see what color or colors missing.... replace those missing color printheads.

one time, I repaired a Z3100 24" & the service station, the color sensor (   to the right side ). it had no lens cover & I never

be able to calibrate color or printhead alignment.....  till I replaced with a brand new service station.

for more details, see my other post fore reference :

If your colour calibration goes through the scanning process and then fails right at the end, try running the advance calibration 1st, then redo the colour calibration.

Good Luck,
