I chatted online with a tech support person who told me my problem with my printer was definitely hardware and to call a number 1-855-785-2777 and when I called the menu offered these support options that I chose from. It was either HP Instant Ink or problems with your printers hardware. Well, I chose the printer's hardware and listened as the recorded voice told me to go back to the internet, hp.com/support.
I had been told by the chat support that I would call that number and they would arrange to replace the printer. I don't understand. I had a question about whether I would have to pay shipping and handling, which I can't actually, but I wanted to hear them say I had to andn nonetheless I was unable to get through to anybody, any human being at all.
I went to www.hp.com/support but I think I had been there before. I had chatted with support who turned me over to tech support.

Hi,
The number you list is HP Cloud Services, supporting HP Instaln Ink and not the prtner hardware.
I assume you may misunderstood the support agent or got a wrong number by mistake, but that would only be a guess..
I'm not sure of the exact US number, but by filling this form and selecting to contact via Phone you will get a case number among the phone number to contact HP support for your printer:

I finally got through to someone on the phone. HP Ink is the right menu selection to take and I finally got a person and he got the whole thing processed for me. Should have a new printer on Monday.
