Will it work?
Maybe.
Depends on:
The weight of your paper
AND
Whether your printer supports Custom Paper Sizes
Check and Create Custom Paper Form
The Specifications lists the Media (kind of paper) and the paper weights supported:
Paper type | Paper weight | Paper tray |
Plain paper | 60 to 90 g/m2 (16 to 24 lb) | Up to 80 sheets (70 g/m2 [20 lb]) |
Cards | 200 g/m2 (110 lb) index max | Up to 30 |
Envelopes | 75 to 90 g/m2 (20 to 24 lb) | Up to 10 |
Photo paper | Up to 280 g/m2 (75 lb) | Up to 30 |
Print Driver Settings Guide (Windows) explains that some printers support Creating Custom Paper Sizes
IF your printer supports creating a Custom Size form, you will find the form setup in:
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > Left-Click on your Printer one time to highlight >
Left-Click Print Server properties
If your tracing paper is within the weight limitations
and
If your printer supports creating a Custom Paper Size
then
Create your custom form from a similar size of "Plain paper" form.
After you create the new form, restart your computer and log in.
The Custom Form (whatever you named it) will show up in your Printing Preferences under Paper Size.
Example:
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > Right-Click on printer >
Printing Preferences > Tab Paper/Quality > Advanced > Paper Size: Select New Form Size
(Wording and exact path to Paper Size varies)

Using the form
The new form can be used with printing programs / applications that support (can see) the extended paper size list.
For example:
Word supports (can see) custom paper sizes, Adobe Publisher may not be able to make use of the new form(s).
