Product: HP Laserjet M428fdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
So I have an HP M428fdw. Itried the Full install package and the Basic install packages, Both tried to set the port as IP instead of WSD and still could not get the printer to work.
I then changed to the Universal Print Driver and I can now print but can not scan. Neither WIA or TWAIN shows up.
Online I see reference to a Universal Scan Driver and HPScanExt.msi.
I can not find them for download.
The HPScanExt.msi is listed in the FTP site but I can not get past the login.
What is going on here? I have 4 of the predicesor M426 fdw in use and not a problem. How come the newer stuff is such junk?
Can someone help get my all in one fully functioning?
