My scanner has stopped working. Printing is still OK. I have had this printer for a couple of years with little problem. I get the following error message: "Scanner communication can't be established. Ensure your product is powered on, check connection and ensure your network is functioning properly." I have run Scan Doctor, and there is apparently a Driver problem. I checked for a newer driver, but when I check, it says my driver is up-to-date. I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP sofrware. I got the scanner to work after the reinstall but after I shut down my computer for the day, the next time I started it, I was not able to scan with the same error message as before. My printer is connected wirelessly through my router. My internet provider recenlty upgraded my router.

Hello, @OhGoodie – Hope you are well 🙂
May the Forums be with you! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel!
Going through your post, I see that you are having issues while scanning using the HP Officejet printer. I’d suggest using the HP Scan and Capture to scan. Go to http://bit.ly/2oAYXby to download and install the HP Scan and capture app on your PC.
HP Scan and Capture is a simple and fun application that captures photos or documents from any HP scanning device or your computer's built-in camera. These images can be previewed, edited, saved, and shared to other applications. Here are the detailed instructions on how to use the app: http://hp.care/2nZfg1K
Let me know if that helps!
Good luck 🙂
