Can't print ... error message... "The RPC Server is unavailable"

Hi, in the Run Command window, type 'services.msc' and press Enter.
Look for 'Remote Procedure Call (RPC)' and make sure the status shows started.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't know where the Run Command is.

Windows 8.1

Press the WIN and X keys together.
Click on Command Prompt.

A Command Prompt window will open on the Desktop.

Execute the command.

ok, good, I was able to find the RPC and it says it is 'running'.  What next?

yay!  halleluijai!  I can print!  Downloaded the printer doctor and it fixed the problem.  Not sure what the problem was but it is working now. Thank you very much!
