I bought a new HP Deskjet 2029 two weeks ago. But until now, if I want to print on A5 paper size, I can't find that size in the printer properties. According to the printer specifications, the printer supports A5 paper size (http://www8.hp.com/id/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?oid=7787706&jumpid=reg_r1002_iden_c-0...). I have tried installing the driver in Windows 7 32 bit and the same problem occured. How can I solve this problem? Thank you.

Printer:
HP DeskJet Ultra Ink Advantage 2029 Printer
Full Feature Software:
File name: DJ2020_1321-1.exe
Release details:
Released: Oct 30, 2015
Version 28.8
Fix and enhancements
- Added support for Windows 10
- Most current version of the software includes all previous fixes and enhancements.
The paper size does appear to be supported: Specifications
The Media type (kind of paper) and the Paper Size must be set -- and the combination must be acceptable to the printer software.
EDITS - correction 2 - paper type
Example from Officejet 8630
Media type "Plain Paper" 64 to 90 g/m² (16 to 24 lb)
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers >
Right-Click on Printer > Printing Preferences >
tab Printing Shortcut >>
Select Shortcut "Photo Printing with white borders" >
Under Paper Type: Confirm / Select HP Advanced Photo Papers
tab Paper / Quality >>
Advanced >
In Paper/Output: Paper Size > Select A5
OK > OK
Media type "HP Advanced Photo Papers"
might be acceptable with
Paper Size A5
The precise manner in which you adjust the settings depend on both the printer software AND the program you are using to submit the print job.
Media type (kind of paper) and Paper Size are (can be) adjusted in
Example in section:
- Printing Shortcut – A5 Paper
Example based on Officejet Pro 8630 - Full Feature Software installed. The "shortcut" presentation may differ in your software.
Printing Preferences can be reached (and adjusted) within Print Preview. Most browsers, document editors, document readers, and photo image software provide some form of Print Preview.

Thanks for reply.
In my Paper/Quality tab, I can't find Media type "(Regular) Paper", just Plain Paper, Normal Quality; Plain Paper, Fast Draft Quality; Plain Paper, Best Quality; Specialty Paper, Best Quality; and Photo Paper, Best Quality. And all of that media types don't have A5 paper size.
Fyi, I live in Indonesia. Does HP 2029 support A5 paper size in my location?
Thank you.

Assuming you have installed the Full Feature Software, I would expect the size to be available.
I am not aware of your location having an impact on the available features. ??
I will post back if I find anything substantive.

What application are you trying to print A5 from?
What does the Printer Preferences look like?
This
Or this
The first Picture is when the full solution driver is installed and the second one is when the InOS class driver is installed.

Thanks for stepping in!
I found something of interest, at least for the Officejet Pro 8630...
A5 paper is selectable in the Photo Shortcut in combination with Media Type: "HP Advanced Photo Papers".
I have edited my previous post with the updated information and provided an example of the setup in the linked document in that Post.
This does not explain why @jhendral does not see the A5 selection in the Paper Size List ... I would at least expect the Full Feature Software to pick up the Size even if the combination is not allowed.
Thanks again for any insight.

Thanks to ShlomiL for clarifying the issue:
The driver is indeed missing the A5 selection for both the Deskjet 2020 series and the Deskjet 1510
Suggested Fix:
Please create / use an Alternate Driver > HP Deskjet 6940
The procedure:
- Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > Right-Click your printer icon > Printer Properties
- Within the Ports tab, note down the name of the port selected for your printer and close the window.
- Click on Add Printer and then click "The printer that I want isn’t listed".
- Select the last option of local printer and click Next
- From the existing port drop down select the port used by your printer.
- Install the Printer Driver >> Select HP (left column) >> Select HP Deskjet 6940 driver (right column)
Note: If the specified model is not available, press on Windows Update and allow it several minutes; the 6940 will be then listed. - Follow the wizard and complete the steps.
Additonal information and examples are provided in
Section(s):
- Alternate Print Driver
- Example Add a Printer
