Can't scan to computer w/new HP Photosmart 6520

-New HP Photosmart 6520 was installed 2 days ago. eprint sucessfully done as well. I can scan to an email thru eprint, but can't scan the document to my computer. The printer message tells me there it's a USB connection error.

-I have shut down and connected a new USB cable and still nothing!

-Also I see that in my Programs that the only thing listed in the HP 6520 series folder is the Product Studies and nothing else.

-Is this the reason I can't scan to the computer?

Hi,

Please enable scan to computer from your computer (Windows):

(a) Double click icon on desktop,

(b) Select Scan to Computer,

(c) Click Enable

(d) Click OK/Apply ...

You can also click start with Windows.

I can't scan from printer to computer. When I click on the Scan to Computer icon, I get an error message "The HP Photosmart 6520 series was not found" so I can't 'enable'. Note I can print and copy just fine.

Hi, I use MacBook, and for some reason, I installed non HP ink,  The not allowing m to use  "scan to computer"...What shall I do?

I have had exactly the same problem.  I can print fine but I can't scan to the computer. I have gone into "Manage Scan to Computer" it tells me it is enabled.  I have also clicked the box "Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows" but nothing, just keep getting the box come up with "The HP Photosmat 6520 was not found".  I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, I have also tried using a USB cable but nothing.  I am trying to set this up through a Dell Latitude E4310.  The strange thing is I have another laptop, a Lenovo E535 sat right next to the Dell and everything works perfectly on the Lenovo.  So this is very frustrating.  Please any ideas how to resolve this would be gratefully received.

hi i have just purchased the hp photosmart 6520. i have run the disc into the computer all seems fine but when i go scan to computer and choose my pc then scan again it pops up with scanner problem turn printer of then on. if problem is not fixed the scanner component is broken and cannot copy or scan. i turned it off then on same thing happens every time please help.
