Hi Friends!

In our company we have four HP color leser jet m855 from about 80 printers.

Question Fuser kit shows very Low although the Fuser kit is in best condition( Fuser kit has reached maximalLife) . Therefore I entered  the service mode 11085513 in order to reset maintenance count and to eliminate  "Very low Indicator" until we purchase new maintenance kit. But it shows "Maintenance still Maintenance kit low"So how can I use this Fuser kit as new.

Is there any technical adjustment to eliminate maintenance kit low?in order to use as new untill fuser unit goig be damaged?

Thanks

It appears that this machine uses a fuser with a burnable fuse which usually means you can not reset the count thru the control panel as it is done automatically. You can look under the device maintenance menus and supplies to see if there is a reset but instructions for replacing the fuser do not say anything about a reset so you may be out of luck.

As i understand it , you can't. There is no way to reset the fuser life or maintenance kit counter like you can with some other HP printers. The maintenance kit counter is figured directly from that fusing unit and will not be reset until you put a new fusing unit in. Then the printer will read the new fusing unit and reset it maintenace counter automatically.

I believe in the manage supplies area you can adjust the levels for low and very low settings- they are 10-20%ish by default, but I think you can set them as low as 1%- also you probably need to adjust the warning messages to "continue" and not "stop" printing at the "very low" thresh hold. I would not run the fuser to far past its end of life, however- expensive printer, and you could potentialy rish damaing the fuser drive gears if the part failed and locked up- more than likely the fusing film will just start tearing away-

I am not a HP employee. I am a service tech on these forums researching topics and offering my best guess to aide in your troubleshooting.

I have seen fusible links being sold online for people who rebuild fuser because if you rebuild it then you have to replace the fusible Link in order to have the counter reset.
