HP Deskjet 3070A B611

Hi,

I'm currently living in halls at university so I don't have access to the router... Neither do I have a cable to connect my laptop to my printer...

Been trying to find the IP adress and the MAC address all day but for every way the printer needs to be connected to the internet! So I'm in a bit of a ditch here...

Is there any way I can get it connected without having to go all the way home to get a cable??

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks

You will need a Printer USB cable to set the printer up wirelessly. However, connecting your wireless printer to a Public network will only allow everyone in your school to find and print to it, just to waste paper. That is.... IF it will connect. If your schools WiFI ask for additional information, like student ID, room number or whatever, the printer will never connect as it can not authenticate on an Enterprise network.

Read here for more info.

Read here on how to try to connect your wireless printer to a network requesting additional security and information (username and password).
