As I understand you have tried the steps suggested and still having an issue, I would suggest you try to perform an Advanced reset on the printer, after which you could run the installation and setup your printer.

 

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I replied too your private message.

 

I wanted to Attach the shot of the error, but this system does not seem to have an attach option.

The instructions you sent me how to attch files does not seem to work -- there is no icon for attaching files, only images.

Moreover, when I browse the files to select the one to send you from the desktop, the file is not on the list.

 

I  copied and pasted the name of the file into the field, but I have no idea if it was attached or not.

Sorry, but I do not understand the instruction.

 

What I need is a way to attach a file to a reply on this page and I have no way of doing this. It's unclear to me how it is possible to do this from the Home page of this forum.

I found My Posts but the upload link refers only to videos and images, not to files. What I have is a ZIP file.

You can just take a screenshot and send that error message as an image file If you are unable to attach ZIP file.

 

Meanwhile try these steps which might fix this issue.

 

Temporarily disable firewall software on the computer.

  • Return to the Print and Scan Doctor window, and then click Network.
  • In the drop-down menu, click Troubleshooting Firewalls.
  • Click the name of any firewall software on your system that has an Enabled status, and then click Disable.
  • Try installing the HP driver and software again.
  • Click here and refer the document for more steps.
